Position: 40 hours/week, salary range $60-65,000
Purpose: To provide consistent, effective leadership to BBC’s family ministry and outreach teams, empowering people to live on mission.
Reports to: Senior Pastor, Elder Board
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate the overall ministry strategy for children through young adults with a goal of
connecting campus ministries to community outreach. - Oversee visitor follow-up.
- Supervise, teach teams for the youth and young adults. Support the children’s, pre-school, and nursery
ministry directors. - Mentor leaders, recruit, train, encourage, and support adult volunteers.
- Develop a family ministry philosophy and strategy and create short and long-range goals in connection
with the Senior Pastor and elders. - Fulfill miscellaneous pastoral team responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Spiritual: A man of prayer who treasures his time alone with God and demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit
in both his private and public life. - Relational: A servant-shepherd committed to developing strong relationships with people of all ages.
- Educational: Biblically trained and competent to defend the Charis statement of faith and BBC
membership covenant. Willing to obtain Charis ordination within 3 years. - Spanish Speaker a plus
- Initiative: He should enjoy a challenge, be industrious, creative, a “self-starter,” open to ideas from
others–an administrator who is willing to work within a supportive team environment. - Missional: The candidate should be passionate about making disciples–leading people through a lifelong process that begins with conversion and baptism and results in a disciple-making disciple.
