Job Summary:
The Director of Children’s Ministry will provide nurturing, biblical teaching to children (infants – 4th grade). You will use your unique gifts to lead and inspire others to enthusiastically volunteer and train children to be lifelong followers of Christ. You welcome new visiting families and help them feel at ease. You will have creative latitude to do exciting new programs aligned with our Biblical Mission. You should be a Spirit-led shepherd (Philippians 2:5, Matthew 19:14) capable of coaching and easily working with others. 

Essential Functions:
Must agree with Northwest Chapel’s statement of faith and philosophy of ministry
Walk with God regularly and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26)
Vision to disciple and empower others to disciple the next generation of children
Share the vision and recruit, train, and equip volunteers
Passion and understanding of how to care for young children and parents
Relational leader who regularly communicates with kids, parents, and staff
Leads with confidence and humility, inspiring others to follow Christ
A welcoming and hospitable personality

Other Responsibilities:
Identify curriculum with sound doctrine and age relevance 
Organize materials to equip others for an impactful children’s ministry
Orchestrate registration/check-in for Sunday classes and Wednesday events
Plan and administer the children’s ministry budget
Organize community Vacation Bible School and other special events
Promotional highlights for Sunday morning

Qualifications and Competencies:
Prior experience leading, organizing, and training volunteers
Self-motivated with independent tasks
Can work a flexible 20-hour week and oversee an assistant
Skills that, if desired, could justify a FT position
Builds healthy and effective relationships with church members and parents
Experience planning group programs or events 
Pass background check

Benefits:
Minimum $26,000 annually, Vacation, Personal Time, and additional benefits
