To the Lowrie family,
I am not sure if this is still active, this having been created over 12 years ago, but I do hope this message gets through.
Mr. Lowrie (as we called him back then) or Coach, was a very special person. He was among other things, my history teacher (who taught us about our right to bear arms, while he rolled up his sleeves and showed us his bare arms) and he was also my coach in a few sports.
He had the ability to get through to me as a mentor because while he was serious about teaching, he also had a great sense of humour. And looking back, as intense as he was, you could tell he was very compassionate about his students and their education and serving the Lord.
Every once in a while, I have gone online to see if I could find him as he is one of the only teachers I would have really liked to meet again (and thank), and am very sad to hear of his passing. I met Mrs. Lowrie (his wife) a few times and she is such a beautiful soul...my heart goes out to her too.
I trust this finds the rest of his family in good health.
God bless you all.
