Pastor and Mrs. Simmons were the BEST! I met them 1976 when I came to Jesus and committed my life to him. Pastor Simmons came from Lancaster to Harrisburg to do my wedding ceremony. The next year he passed. Mrs. Simmons keep in contact with me through the years. My life changed 10 years ago and contact was lost. Today her
name popped in my head and I pretty much knew this. I loved them both with all my heart. They both showed unconditional love to all
at Melrose GBC. After they left the church body and church fell apart and tragically never recovered. Forever in my heart.

I never met Mrs. Simmons personally, but I have heard a great deal about her. Her husband Pastored at the church when I am pastoring now (Listie Grace Brethren) many years ago. She and her husband were remembered for their kind spirit and godly living. She will be greatly missed.

She was a godly woman who loved the Lord and others deeply. I remember her making puppets for the Operation Barnabas teams and her being a faithful prayer warrior. In her younger years I recall being in their home. She was always so hospitable and warm and caring. She makes Heaven richer.
