I am a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Our congregation GBC bought the property from NLBBC. I wondered where NLBBC moved to. A college classmate of mine was a member of NLBBC and I believe she said the church moved to Los Alamitos. Did NLBBC become CottonWood Church or did it merge with a different church.
Would love to know what happened to the church after it moved.

I went to this church in 1974-1977. I’m trying to find Steve Sanders. He went to Milliken High School and graduated in 1977. We had some great times!

Well, Well, Well….NLBBC what history and drama stands there. I happen to run into an old friend I knew at North just the other day. Kim Brown (as I knew her then) recognized me at a local eatery in Long Beach. I happen to be in town tending to my Mom (Odie) cause my Dad (Ken) was having major heart surgery. It was nice to see a familiar face from the past. I grew up listening to George Peek, Pastor Dave, and oh yes….Ken McCall. I as well attended Jordan HS and graduated in 1983. Have since spent 25 years in the Aircraft Industry and am looking at retirement at 46yrs old. which is way cool. I can be found on Facebook pretty much like everyone else nowadays. I still attend that building maybe once or twice a year depending on the Holiday which is now known as GBC. The inside….still looks and smells the same. Not much has changed. My parents still attend that church even though its ran under “New Management”. Would love to chat with those of you whom which I knew and of course there are some of you I could care less about. All in Love of course. Have a blessed day!

I attended NLBBC from about 1952-1968 and was a graduate of Jordan HS. Have often wondered what happened to George & Mabel Peek and the church. Would love an update.

Hey John. It is good to see a name I recognize. My wife (Susan) and I were married by your Dad. I went to his office one evening and got assurance of salvation (1972) and was baptized by him. I have been looking for any remains of the church as well. Wasn’t there a pastor David who took over after George left? We went to Grace Brethren on Linden after we got married.

Hi my Dad was George peeks assist. 1965- 1985 ? I was involved with the church, I really miss being there, if you could please let me know how I can stat in touch with you guys, or where the new church. call me at 661- 718-2910 or at work 818-777-2850. Iam johnny ahern went to jordan high school, went to hume lake every summer. I went on the tuna boats with my brother in law, I am now working at universal studios as security for the world head quarters building, have been here 18 years.
