West Kittanning Grace Brethren Church (WK Grace) is a vibrant, multi-generational community focused on sharing the Grace we have been given in Christ Jesus as a part of our call to fulfill The Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20) While the teaching administrator’s primary responsibilities will be with the school as described, we are looking for someone who will be a champion for Christian Education through involvement with our other ministries as well. The successful candidate will work with the Head of School and Senior Pastor to foster collaboration and to create cross ministry opportunities for the church, camp and school.
WK Grace & Grace Christian School seeks a growth-oriented High School Teaching Administrator. This leader is to prayerfully direct and lead the building-up and maintenance of Grace Christian School’s program for grading schedule of staff, students, and locations. Lead data analytics meetings to improve instruction and evaluate overall curriculum and coordinate with faculty to create master order sheet for high school instructional materials.
In addition to their role as Teaching Administrator for the school, the successful candidate will also work as the Christian Education Coordinator, managing Sunday School and Children’s church curriculum, volunteer training and scheduling.
Qualifications:
Born-again Christian
Christian role model whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Bible
Support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Statement of conduct.
Member of a Bible-believing Church
Hold a bachelor’s degree in education. A master’s degree is preferred.
Hold or be willing to hold certification through the Association of Chrisitan Schools International
Job Description:
Maintain the curriculum scope and sequence for junior and senior high classes leading revisions with appropriate department staff yearly.
Schedule junior and senior classes ensuring that students are meeting established graduation requirements while also adhering to class size limits.
Enforce student behavior program ensuring that consequences for offenses adhere to established guidelines.
Interview prospective students and make recommendations for admission to the head-of-school.
a. Evaluate academic and behavioral discipline records before making admissions decisions.
Interview prospective faculty and staff applicants and make recommendations to the head-of-school.
Maintain and revise high school graduation requirements in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations
Provide guidance to assist students in college planning application processes.
Ensure transcripts are up-to-date and verify transcript accuracy
Handle transcripts requests from colleges and other high schools
Develop and implement long-term strategic planning for junior/senior high school
