Youth Director at Grace Church at Willow Valley (Lancaster, Pa.)

High Level Goals:
The overall goals of the Youth Director is to evangelize and disciple the teenagers of Grace
Church through biblical teaching, helping them identify their spiritual gifting, and cultivating
meaningful relationships with others in the church.

Responsibilities:
● Planning, organizing, and executing the teaching curriculum for the Student Ministry,
including training and equipping others to teach the teenagers.
● Identifying and equipping leaders from within the church body to help disciple teenagers.
● Plan, administrate, and execute meaningful events for the teenagers’ spiritual growth
(including, but not limited to, retreats, outreach events, missions trips, etc.).
● Help ingrain the teenagers of Grace into the broader participation in the church body.
● Encouraging and praying for the parents of teenagers at Grace.

Skills Needed:
● A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of biblical truth and the ability to
communicate it clearly.
● An energetic spirit.
● A welcoming, hospitable attitude.
● Basic administrative and organizational skills.
● Ability to delegate and share responsibility, empowering others to serve.

Expectations:
● Full agreement with the Charis Commitment to Common Identity and willingness to
teach within its stated perimeters.
● Availability for Tuesday morning staff meetings (9:30-10:30am), Wednesday night Youth
Group meeting (6:30-8pm), and Sunday mornings (8:30-12pm).
● A heart for teenagers to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and identify their spiritual
giftedness.
● This position would need to rely heavily on a volunteer team

Time & Wages:
This position would be 20 a week. Hourly wages to be determined by elders.
