Youth Pastor at Community Grace Church (Everett, Pa.)

This role will be dedicated to leading Community Grace’s youth ministry along with occasional additional assignments given by the Lead Pastor to help care for the congregation and assist with Sunday Morning success. Ministries shall be youth focused and involve biblical priorities i.e. scriptural teaching, outreach, discipleship and fellowship. 

The following list is detailed and expanded but is not intended to be overwhelming. It is understood that most areas of weekly ministry listed below will overlap with other areas. 

– One who exhibits a personal and growing relationship with the Lord, and the ability to work well with others, a teachable spirit, and a health family life.
– One who is willing to be an active member of Community Grace Church.
– One who can lead and organize youth ministry implementing biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism through grades 6 to 12 youth activities.
– One who possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of educational or work experience, and personal abilities in youth ministry, basic administrative skills, and a personal life fitting with biblical mandates for pastors and elders (1 Timothy 3: 1-7).
– One who loves young people and has a desire to see people come to Christ and grow in Him.
– One who creates and leads ministry and mission opportunities within our Fellowship including Momentum Youth Conference, Camp Mantowagan, as well as wholesome opportunities outside our Fellowship of Churches.
-One who can recruit and train volunteer youth staff with diverse gifts and personalities.
-One who will provide counseling and spiritual direction to your and parents on an individual basis as needed.
– A capable teacher with a strong biblical and theological background, who is in full agreement with the Charis Fellowship’s Statement of Faith.
– A self-motivated leader who is capable of casting a vision for the youth ministry, as well as possessing relational skills with students, parents, and staff.
– An ambitious ministry minded person with a strong work ethic who is faithfully involved in ordinary Community Grace Church functions and activities.
– One who is tech savvy and facilitates communication with students and parents in order to keep them informed of ongoing activities and ministry plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement.
– One who supports parents in effectively fulfilling their Christian parenting roles.
– One who assists int he development and oversight of the youth ministry budget as well as managing student fees for evens and trips in an open and timely fashion.
– One who seeks to integrate youth ministry into all phases of church life in order to complement other church ministries, as well as participating in ministries int he community.
– One who participates, as needed or requested, in the evaluation and development of the overall church ministry including attending all regularly scheduled worship services, providing occasional pulpit supply in the Lead Pastor’s absence (vacation/sickness), occasionally assisting with hospital visits, and serving on the elder board and official board.
– A team player who is willing to cultivate a positive work environment with the Lead Pastor and other staff persons.
– One who supports the Church’s overall vision of “Working together to offer the Grace to our world.”
