The Grace College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Martin Becker, played a concert of Sousa numbers over the weekend. Supplemented with a few community and professional players, the ensemble played a wide selection of marches and other numbers by Sousa and Percy Grainger. One of the ensemble’s tuba players, David Sanborn, had played under Grainger’s direction in the 1940s and gave a personal account of that experience. The college will present a “Light of His Coming” Christmas concert at the Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake, Indiana, at 7 p.m on Friday, December 3. (Al Disbro photo)
