East Side Creates ‘Mission Central’ in Lobby

Apr 30, 2007

Tom Avey, FGBC Fellowship Coordinator, visited the Eastside Grace Brethren Church in Columbus, Ohio, this past Sunday. Pastor Chip Heim has just returned from a two-week trip to the Ukraine to teach in a Bible Institute and told incredible stories of folks who had become “parables” of God in the lives of people who need Him.
Eastside has a strong missions program and recently created an attractive “Mission Central” area just off their main lobby (pictured) to keep missions in focus.
Eastside is planning a VBS for June called “Avalanche Ranch” including “Operation Kid to Kid” designed to help kids at “Avalanche Ranch” have a hands-on missions connection. Eastside was also conducting a Red Cross Blood drive on Sunday afternoon.
Eastside has a 9:30 worship service where the music style is blended and an 11:00 contemporary service. Pray for Pastor Chip Heim, his staff and the church as they continue to stay on-mission for Jesus Christ.
