The Association of Grace Brethren Ministers each year recognizes three individuals who have distinguished themselves in ministry. Those recognized at the recent California conference were:
Dr. Larry Chamberlain, Grace Brethren Investment Foundationpresident and CEO, who was given the Excellence in Ministry Award; Phil Sparling, pastor ofGrace Community Church, a Grace Brethren congregation in Auburn, Calif., who was given Pastor of the Year Award; and Bernie Simmons, longtime children’s ministry pastor of the Polaris Grace Church(Worthington/Columbus) in Ohio, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
