The following news briefs are from January and February issues of The Brethren Missionary Herald magazine.

Sixty Years Ago – 1950
Dr. Louis T. Talbot, president of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and Dr. Paul R. Bauman, executive vice president of Grace Theological Seminary, embarked on a trip around the world to visit missionaries in a score of foreign lands ranging from Hawaii to India. A travelogue written by the gentlemen told the details of their journey.

Forty Years Ago – 1970
The Winona Lake Brethren Church observed a joyous dedication of their new building. Dr. Homer H. Kent, Sr., and Rev. Richard DeArmey spoke at the special service.

Twenty Years Ago -1990
The Grace Brethren Church of Norton, Ohio (Bob Combs, pastor), held a mortgage-burning after their 15-year loan to construct their sanctuary was paid off in seven years.
