Ted Rondeau, missions mobilizer at Grace Community Church, a Grace Brethren congregation in Goshen, Ind., has asked for help as the Goshen church seeks to assist Iraqi Christians, and others, in crisis. (See Goshen Church Leads Effort to Help Christians in Iraq.)
He references a post on Facebook from Crisis Response International: Jeremiah has an opportunity to teach and aid medically the Kurds who are fighting ISIS. He has asked for help getting CAT tourniquets, combat gauze, israeli pressure bandages, and IFAK pouches for the Kurdish Army who have literally NONE of those items or medical training as they engage ISIS alone. … The Kurdish Army cannot afford these items so they are dying in skirmishes with ISIS from wounds that don’t have to take their lives.
Ted reports that they are focusing on the material supply needs and prayer. “The Kurdish Peshmerga and affected ethnic minorities are all top list unreached people groups. Their present receptivity to the gospel is at an unprecedented historical high right now. You can share that part.”
