CE National is pleased to announce the 2015 Roger Ward Memorial Award is presented to Pastor Joseph Nass from Berne, Ind. Joe is the pastor of the Bethel Brethren Church in Berne. His church hosted Team Ohio during this summer’s Operation Barnabas tour.
Team Ohio administrative leader, Shawn Mason, had this to say about why Pastor Joe was chosen as our Roger Ward recipient for 2015. “Pastor Joe Nass and Bethel Brethren made sure we did not pay for one meal during our time in Berne. When Joe needed to assist our team with housing, and there were multiple delays for a variety of reasons, he was gracious and so helpful to attend to any needs. On our last day there we found out that we needed a new fire extinguisher for the bus and Joe went out of his way to go buy a new fire extinguisher for the bus and would not let us repay him for it. We didn’t even ask him to get us one. He just did it. He would see needs and meet them. He was a great example of a Barnabas to the team.”
