Javier Forero, church planter and pastor of Iglesia Comunal La Esperanza in Valrio, Fla., and Haitian pastors Dumont Cardichon and Henri Cher-Amie are in the Bahamas this week working with Haitian churches there.

Javier Forero, Grace Brethren pastor and church planter in Valrico, Fla., is in the Bahamas this week with Haitian pastors Dumont Cardichon and Henri Cher-Amie, who both lead Grace Brethren congregations in south Florida. (Cher-Amie is pastor of New Calvary Evangelical Church, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which just joined the FGBC in July.) He sent along this report as they have visited Haitian churches in the Bahamas.

Today we were doing an inventory of what has happened in our ministry the last year 2014-2015. We have to celebrate that there were a total of  205 people who have accepted the Lord.
Some of them have been baptized already and also we had a vacation Bible school (VBS) with approximately 404 kids
We had a medical clinic (mobile clinic) in the city of Marmont, reaching almost 700 people besides the VBS.

Children who participated in vacation Bible school were also fed a meal.

We visited the hospital (Immaculate Conception of Port de Paix) to do ministry among 250 people and pray for them. Sometimes we gave them money for prescription and we donated medicine to the hospital.

We examined Gesner Meyance and Leonel Phillistin and recommended them for ordination.

A total of 26 couples were married in two separate ceremonies in 2014 and 2015 in the Bahamas.

Also, in 2014, we performed a wedding for 12 couples. In 2015, we performed a wedding for 14 couples.

We had a seminar leadership for three days in Mas-Grand-Bois with 25 leaders attending.
Five men were designated as regional leaders of the GSE program (church planting). Our goal is to plant 100 churches in Haiti and 50 in Bahamas.
In Nassau,  we taught a leadership seminar. We had about 250 people and 25 committed themselves to start planting churches. We taught choir for one week to 70 people and we’ve connected with some pastors in order to engage them with Grace Brethren churches.
We participated in a radio program were the gospel was preached and an invitation to join us with Grace Brethren churches.
This week we are having a revival meeting with the topic of “wake up church from sleeping.” We are having meeting every night from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.
On Saturday, we will have a workshop about history of the Grace Brethren and the best way to evangelize. (Please pray for us. We are going to invite other churches to engage with the Grace Brethren Fellowship.)
Before we leave we are going to have a Grace brethren church planted in Nassau and a theological Bible institute scheduled to open in January 2016.
Praise the Lord for the opportunity of serving Him.
