Pastors and ministry leaders from the eastern United States are gathered this week at the East Focus Retreat. Meeting in Ocean City, Md., they are staying on the boardwalk at a local hotel and meeting at a nearby church.
Led by Clancy Cruise, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Marysville, Ohio, and the incoming executive director of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches (mid-2016), the two-day retreat is focusing on “Leverage.”
The retreat began Monday, October 19 and will continue through Wednesday, October 21. One of the first exercises was to gather as small groups to get better acquainted. Participants were encourage to share their stories and dreams with one another.
On Monday evening, Clancy shared his testimony. Tuesday morning, participants gathered again in small groups to discuss questions related to vision, leadership, and unity.
The retreat continues through Wednesday morning.
