A memorial service will be held for Encompass missionary Janet Varner at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, at Liberty Grace Brethren Church in Johnstown, Pa. (1081 Tener Street, Doug Black, pastor). In lieu of flowers, you are asked to give to a fund which will benefit malnourished children of Bible Institute students in Bata and Mboki, Central African Republic.
One of Janet’s ministries involved teaching women at these schools. Assisting these Africans with whom she worked most directly would be a meaningful way to honor Janet. Please send your donation to Encompass World Partners marked “Nutrition Account #7187.”
As of this writing, we are aware of two other memorial services to be held in Janet’s honor (Winona Lake, Ind., and Saginaw, Mich.). We will publish further details as they become available.
