The Grace College (Winona Lake, Ind.) mediation team recently participated in the INADR International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament. The event was held November 11-13, 2015, at Drake Law School at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
During the competition, the Grace College team took turns mediating, advocating for a client, and being a client in a series of cases. The team performed very well and two Grace students, Drake Darrah and Edward Coplin, earned third place in the Outstanding All American Advocate/Client Team. Other members of the team included Hannah Boal, Peter Guess, Chelsee Hartsfield, Mary Wick, and Joshua Yoder.
The team and their sponsor, Dr. Mark Norris, heard Dick Calkin speak about the field of mediation, necessary mediation skills, cases studies, and the future of mediation.
