For the fifth year in a row, Brethren Christian High School trumpet player Schuyler Montgomery has been invited to join the all-state wind symphony, which performs at the annual conference for the California Band Directors Association. He was selected from a pool of 2,400 applicants representing schools throughout the state.

Montgomery was asked about playing with the all-state bands. “The music is extremely difficult but I like the challenge and the experience of meeting and playing with so many great musicians from other schools,” he said.

Montgomery has also played with the Southern California high school honor band for the past three years and was selected to play lead trumpet with the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association honor jazz band in 2015.
