Grace College’s men’s basketball team will compete in the 2016 NCCAA National Basketball Championships this week, held at Grace’s Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
The Lancers are the No. 4 seed in the eight-team tournament. Grace played No. 5 Alice Lloyd on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the opening round, winning the game, 85-66, to advance to the championship bracket. (See Lancers Roll to Championship Bracket.)
The NCCAA Parade of Champions took place before Grace’s game at 7 p.m. at the MOCC.
The national semifinals will be held on Thursday night with the men’s championship to tip off on Saturday at 5 p.m. The women’s NCCAA tournament will be held simultaneously at Grace, resulting in 24 games during tournament week in Winona Lake.
The complete men’s field is No. 1 Emmanuel (Ga.), No. 2 Southwestern Christian (Okla.), No. 3 Ohio Christian, No. 4 Grace, No. 5 Alice Lloyd (Ky.), No. 6 Trinity International (Ill.), No. 7 Bluefield (Va.) and No. 8 Central Christian (Kan.).
