Grace College hosted its third annual Joust event from Thurs., April 14, to Sun., April 17, 2016. The yearly competition, formally called Olympiad, included a series of lighthearted challenges. The event encouraged community and teamwork, incorporating the entire campus into an entertaining weekend tournament. It culminated in a closing ceremony on Sunday night.
Hundreds of Grace students participated throughout the weekend. A week before The Joust, students signed up for activities and joined one of four teams delineated by different colors. The teams competed against each other in 46 challenges, slowly compiling points. The contests included cooking, ping pong, beach volleyball, Mario-Kart, tug of war, euchre, and spelling and geography bees, just to name a few.
The Blue Team came out on top. Members of the winning team will be rewarded with a blue-themed party next week. Among other things, refreshments will include blueberries, blue drinks and blue skittles.
