The Grace College women’s golf team got the chance to serve nearby Jefferson Elementary before the school year ended.
The Lady Lancers spent a recent morning giving golf lessons and teaching about the sport to sixth-graders from Jefferson, which is located adjacent to the college’s campus.
Grace just completed its first season of collegiate competition in 2015-16 under head coach Denny Duncan, who previously served as principal at the elementary school. With a roster of eight freshman and two juniors, Duncan guided the Lady Lancers to a sixth-place finish in the Crossroads League Championship.
