Grace College Welcomes New Millennial Scholars

May 21, 2016

Grace College has announced the 29 recipients of the Millennial Scholar Academy (MSA) scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year. The scholarship provides first year out-of-state students with a $1,000 scholarship that increases by $500 each year enrolled for up to four years.

The Millennial Scholar Academy’s purpose is to expose Grace College students to an array of leadership principles and instill in them a passion to serve their campus and community as current students and later as alumni. The program was initially launched out of a Lilly Endowment grant aimed at attracting high-achieving, out-of-state students to Indiana but is now funded through Grace College.

MSA students are selected during the admissions process by a committee chaired by Vice President of Enrollment Management Cindy Sisson.  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate academic and leadership potential evidenced by past performance and future goals. Previous leadership experience, scholastic success, financial need and a written essay are taken into consideration.
