Jackson Heritage Festival organizers optimistic about event

The Jackson Heritage Festival is celebrating its 13th year, and event planners are hoping to draw more people in this year for the three-day event.

Jackson Heritage Festival coordinator David Hirko said that Saturday’s hot weather may have deterred people from coming out early in the day, but more people will attend as the day goes on.   …

Sunday’s festivities will begin with an outside community church service at 10:30 a.m., held by Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church. Unicycle Sam from Portage will be providing the laughs as he juggles and mimes while riding a unicycle from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
