Grace Brethren wins Div. 8 girls volleyball title
NORWALK — Division 8 could not hold Grace Brethren High in the CIF-Southern Section girls volleyball playoffs.
Grace Brethren rolled over Anaheim-Katella on Friday, sweeping the championship match on scores of 25-21, 25-9, 25-9 to win the school’s first section volleyball title since 2003.
The Lancers (21-6) will find out Sunday about the pairings for the state playoffs.
The second and third games against Katella (21-6) were so dominant for Grace Brethren, it’s hard to believe the first set was as close as it was. Even more surprising was the reason for it.
