Glen Sykes, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, San Diego, Calif., has been experiencing heart-related health issues over the last several weeks. According to a post on Facebook, he is currently in surgery (Wednesday morning, November 23). Below is a post from his wife, Cora, and shared here with permission. Pray for Glen and Cora as they seek answers to what is causing the symptoms he’s been experiencing. She also notes several prayer requests for others in their family in the post.
Glen is in surgery having another heart cath. Looking for more blockage or collapsed stint and any damage to the heart. Any of this could have caused his liver to enlarge and send the lymph nodes into overtime causing his bloating and discomfort over the last few weeks. His brother, Bill, is in the hospital in Indiana for congestive heart failure. Bill’s ex-wife, Amy, is hospitalized and awaiting a heart transplant. My cousin, Gary, is also in a hospital with heart issues. Life is hard but God is the Ultimate Healer and Comforter. Keep praying!
