Rochester Names Andersen as New Men’s Soccer Coach
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.— Athletic Director Klint Pleasant is pleased to announce that David Andersen will be taking over as the Warriors head coach.
Andersen graduated from Oakland Christian School in 2006. After graduation, Andersen went on to play soccer at Grace College for four years and graduated with a BS in Sport Management.
After graduating from Grace College, Andersen headed back to Oakland Christian School and took over the men’s and women’s soccer programs in 2013-2014. During his time as the head coach, Andersen has an overall record of 94-71-6 and has been to seven different district championship games where he has won two.
Andersen has been named MIAC Coach of the year three times in his short time at OCS, and has won three MIAC conference championships (1 with the boys’ team and 2 with the girls’ team).
In five seasons, Coach Andersen has trained and prepared his players for the next level of soccer and has had nine players go onto play at the collegiate level. Within the five seasons, five of coach Andersen’s players have been named First Team All-State, and even had one player that was voted as the National Christian Athletic Association Player of the Year.
Coach Andersen lives in Troy, MI with his wife of almost three years Allyssa Andersen.
