Grace Brethren football players are academic All-Americans

Grace Brethren Youth Football and Cheer athletes get things done on the field and in the classroom.
Fourteen Lancers earned spots on the Pop Warner All-American Scholar first and second teams for their exemplary performance away from the gridiron.

Ethan Fullerton, a sixth-grader at Los Cerritos Middle School in Thousand Oaks, and Landis Humphrey, a seventh-grader from Northridge, represented Grace Brethren on the first team, which consists of the top 35 students from each grade level across the country.
“It’s a big deal to have two players from our chapter make it at the national level,” said Joe Bowman, the president of the Simi Valley-based organization. “Their hard work, dedication and character are the cornerstone. To have recognition around strong academics just reinforces what we already promote at Grace Brethren.”
Only 6,100 athletes—about 2 percent of all Pop Warner participants in the U.S.—earn academic honors.
