Jacob Baumer has been named the director of student ministries at Los Altos Grace Brethren Church, Long Beach, Calif. (Phil Helfer, pastor). According to information from the church, he will begin his duties on July 1.
Jacob has been a teacher and coach at the Lakewood Christian Schools since 2012 and is finishing up teaching this school year and then will begin to serve in student ministries at Los Altos Grace.
In 2010, he graduated from California State University Long Beach, with his degree in Business Administration – Management. He has attended Long Beach Grace Brethren Church from 2006 through 2017. During his time there, he served as a small group leader in the high school ministry from 2009 through 2017. He attributes everything about his life, including his career, residence, relationships, and hobbies to the opportunities the Lord has presented him through youth ministry.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys playing and watching sports (specifically the Lakers, Rams, Angels, Ducks, and USC), and was formerly a professional ultimate frisbee player.
