Prep football playoffs kicked off last weekend.

Of the 11 local teams (one in eight-man) to reach the postseason, only six squads remain.

Grace Brethren High (9-2 overall) overcame a deficit to defeat Buena 48-38 in a CIFSouthern Section Division 8 firstround playoff game last weekend.

The Lancers, who won the Tri-Valley League crown, will play at 7:30 tonight at Moorpark College against Millikan of Long Beach (9-2). Millikan’s only two losses are to fellow Moore League powerhouse Long Beach Poly, and Banning.
