GCBI trains church leaders at Lake Denton Camp

The Great Commission Bible Institute, a Sebring Bible college, trains local church leaders and people from around the country. With an extremely low student-faculty ratio and a 10-day trip to Israel, the 10-month program offers an intensive look at the Bible in a very personal and historic setting.

At GCBI, tuition is free, however the $6,000 in fees per student covers housing, meals, and other expenses; it does not include the cost for the trip to Israel. Students generally participate in fundraising to help pay for the trip.

Students stay at dorms on West Center Street in the heart of downtown Sebring, and they attend classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Lake Denton Chapel in Avon Park.

Although GCBI was founded by Dr. Randall Smith, pastor of Grace Church, students become members of various churches in the community, actively serving the local church as a vital part of their Bible college experience.
