Church looks to establish afterschool program
Along with community members and partners, the Community Grace Brethren Church is taking progressive steps to secure a licensed after-school childcare program, to be called Grace Kidz. With the area’s non-existent licensed childcare and few after-school programs, Grace Kidz will be a welcome addition to the community and is set to open by Sept. 3.
Grace Kidz, to be led by Director LeeAnn Mell, will be a first-come first-served basis to 40 children ages five through 12 and will be housed in the education building that once served as the Goldendale Christian School. The children will be cycled through the program month-to-month to offer opportunities to other families.
