Charis Fellowship Updates: Pastoral Moves, Books Off the Press

Joe Couch

Joe Couch has been called to lead Marion Grace Church, Marion, Ohio. Pastor Joe comes from Calvert Grace Church in Maryland where he has served as pastor of missions and outreach. The Couches plan to relocate to Marion in May at the conclusion of their current school year.

Andrew Leasure

Rosemont Grace Brethren Church, Martinsburg, W. Va., has announced Andrew Leasure has been called to serve as their pastor. He previously served at Grace Church in Aiken, S. C.

Books by three Charis Fellowship pastors have been released.

Ed Waken, pastor of ValleyLife Grace Brethren Church in Peoria, Ariz., has written Wildfire – The Fearless Spread of the Gospel. The book explores the Biblical principles of freedom, success, and passion for sharing the gospel given to every believer from the moment they are saved. Larry Weber, former pastor at Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro, Pa., has penned his autobiography, Unnumbered Blessings: A Life Enriched by Eternal EffusionIn it he traces his 35-year career in business, philanthropy, and higher education administration. It is available on Amazon.

Steve Makofka, formerly pastor of a Charis church in Dayton, Ohio, has just written a book on to how to counsel and support families of people tangled in the web of addiction. He celebrated Family Recovery: Build the Family You Need with the People You Already Have with a launch party on January 23, at the Dayton, Ohio, Metro Library.
