Position Type: Part-Time (20 – 25 hours per week)About the Opportunity
Grace Church at Willow Valley is seeking a creative, organized, and people-oriented Church Engagement Coordinator to help strengthen connections within our church family and communicate the life and ministry of Grace to our congregation and community.
This position combines hospitality, communications, and ministry coordination. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has an eye for effective communication and design, and takes initiative in creating welcoming experiences and keeping our church family informed and engaged.Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Guest Engagement
- Create a welcoming environment for guests, regular attenders, and church members.
- Coordinate hospitality volunteers, including greeters, ushers, and other service teams.
- Facilitate guest follow-up and opportunities for newcomers to connect with the church.
- Help coordinate church-wide events, gatherings, and special ministry activities.
- Support the preparation and organization of church facilities for Sunday services and midweek ministries.
- Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to continually improve the guest experience.
Communications & Creative Content
- Keep the church’s website, social media platforms, and other digital communications fresh, accurate, and engaging.
- Create and distribute weekly communications, announcements, and ministry updates.
- Design graphics, flyers, brochures, event programs, and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to communicate upcoming events, opportunities, and church initiatives.
- Maintain consistent messaging, branding, and visual presentation across communication channels.
- Identify creative ways to help people stay informed, connected, and involved in the life of Grace Church.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and affirms the mission and doctrinal statement of Grace Church at Willow Valley.
- Genuinely loves people and enjoys helping others feel welcomed and connected.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has creative ability and experience with graphic design, social media, and digital content management.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
- Takes initiative, solves problems, and works effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Is comfortable coordinating volunteers and supporting ministry teams.
- Brings a positive, professional, and service-oriented approach to their work.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in communications, ministry, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience and demonstrated skills will also be considered.Why Grace Church?
