Pray for the Living Christmas Trees Concert at Polaris Grace

Dec 1, 2011

living christmas treeFor the 25th year, Grace Polaris (Mike Yoder, pastor), a Grace Brethren church in the Columbus, Ohio, suburb of Westerville, is bringing the true message of Christmas and the life of Jesus Christ to tens of thousands of people who attend Living Christmas Trees. A recent message to the church family encouraged prayer for the event, which opens tomorrow night (Friday, December 2) with a special Night of Giving, a special way of giving back to to the Columbus community.

Tomorrow night, area charitable organizations, including W.A.R.M., My Very Own Blanket/Foster Services of Franklin County, Grace Powell ESL (English as a Second Language), Youth for Christ, Faith Mission, Lower Lights Ministry, Urban Concern, Victory Ministries, The Salvation Army, Maker’s Moms, and International Friendships (IFI) have been invited to bring their clients, volunteers, and employees to the performance free of charge. IFI alone is bringing hundreds of international students from the campus of The Ohio State University, including young people from China, Korea, Turkey, Japan, Pakistan, India, Spain, Russia, and Portugal. This performance opening night performance is not open to the general public, however tickets are still available for matinee and evening performances over the next three weekends, concluding with the afternoon performance on Sunday, December 18.

Pray for the hundreds of adults and children who make the pageant work…behind the scenes and on stage; and for the folks who’ll be watching from the audience. Thank you for lifting this important outreach effort to the Lord over the next three weekends.
