Mike and Kathy McKeever are the newest addition to the mobilization team at Encompass World Partners, a national ministry of the Charis Fellowship. Encompass has a vision to spread the knowledge and glory of God among the least reached of our world, and they are currently pursuing this mission in 29 countries.
Although new to Encompass, the McKeever are no strangers to the global worker field. Mike and Kathy served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Cameroon and the United States for many years. “The Lord got ahold of us and gave us a heart for those who don’t know Him,” Mike said. “We can’t help but do what we have to do.”
Mike and Kathy, who grew up in non-believing homes and came to faith in Jesus during college, were first introduced to the idea of missions when Wycliffe Bible translators from the Philippines spoke at their church. Mike said, “As we got to know them, we began to wonder how we could fit into that.”
Along with their three kids, Mike and Kathy moved to Cameroon with Wycliffe to work in finance. They particularly enjoyed working at the Rainforest International School in Yaoundé where they taught music and Bible to children of global workers, merchants, and embassy staff. They taught both a UK and US curriculum, a highly sought-after education, so even a few local Cameroonians sent their children to the school.
When the McKeever family returned to the US, both Mike and Kathy got involved in various music and ministry opportunities. They worked with Wycliffe as recruiters for a few years before recently transitioning to Encompass.
“If people believe in the Gospel, they are willing to do whatever it takes to get it out there,” Mike said.

ew role as mobilizers, their time is split between mobilizing individuals and equipping churches for mobilization. Mike travels to churches and college campuses to meet people and share the vision for reaching the unreached. Kathy works in partnership development, data entry, and recruitment tracking.
