The Charis Fellowship is blessed with many gifted speakers and teachers. Last summer we had the chance to hear from five of them at Access, which was held at Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind. During the conference’s five main celebrations, speakers presented on various elements of relationships, each highlighting a different component. See photos from the conference here.

Dan Allan: Nobody Loves Me Like Jesus (Friday Morning)
“Jesus loves me, this I know…the starting point for my relational life has to start here.”
Pastor Dan Allan discussed the foundation for biblical relationships and reminded attendees that nobody loves us like Jesus, nobody sticks with us like Jesus, and nobody satisfies us like Jesus.
Dan serves as pastor of ministry development at Grace Church of Ashland, Ohio. He loves to see people know God, enjoy God, and develop a passion for Kingdom agendas. Dan and his wife, Holly, have two children and two grandchildren. Dan loves playing golf, tennis, and pickleball. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 16:11.

Brad Deetscreek: The Fuel (Friday Evening)
“We know our churches will thrive when our families are strong. When we invest in our families, we will find fuel that will challenge our ministry and make us the best leaders we can be.”
Pastor Brad Deetscreek talked about the fuel for biblical relationships and how our families can fuel our ministry by providing support, wisdom, and insight.
Brad, a graduate of Cedarville University and Grace Theological Seminary, has spent nearly 25 years in Youth and Next Generation ministry. He loves serving on staff as the Lead Pastor of Family Ministry at Grace Church of Greater Akron and training the next generation of leaders by teaching Youth Ministry at Grace College. He and his wife Tara are the parents of Finn, Sullivan, Killian, and Sawyer. Brad loves most sports, fly-fishing and being outside.

Scott Feather: Interdependence (Saturday Morning)
”How do we define ‘we‘?”
Pastor Scott Feather addressed the attitude of biblical relationships and discussed why, who, what, where, win, and how.
Scott Feather has served as lead pastor of Gateway Church in Parkesburg, Pa., since 2014. Scott’s personal mission is to “Know Christ intimately and to relentlessly follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in awakening, equipping, and connecting others.” Scott and his wife, Jodi, have been married since 1997 and have two children.

Jim Brown: Our Gospel Legacy (Saturday Evening)
“The Commander’s intent is to seek and save the lost.”
Pastor Jim Brown spoke on the topic of the harvest of biblical relationships and ended his talk with a call to commit to getting back on mission.
Jim has served as the lead pastor of Grace Community Church of Goshen, Ind., since 1996. He has a passion to see men come alive in Jesus and lead their homes well. He desires to see marriages flourish and to see children chase after Jesus their whole lives. He loses sleep over lost people coming to Christ. He longs to see his church fall deeply in love with Jesus and His Word so that they live to their redemptive potential. Jim adores his wife and children.

Drew Flamm: The Outcomes (Sunday Morning)
“We have one singular goal: to make Jesus known.”
Dr. Drew Flamm spoke on the outcomes of biblical relationships. He emphasized the important role each person plays in the Great Commission.
Drew is the President of Grace College & Theological Seminary. He has more than 16 years of higher education experience at multiple colleges, the last nine of which have been at Grace. As a product of Christian higher education, he knows the transformative effect it has on a student’s faith and life. It is his highest aim to develop young adults who know Christ and make Him known. Drew and his wife, Stephanie, live in Winona Lake with their three sons. Drew enjoys coaching his sons’ YMCA basketball team and mountain biking on the Winona Lake trails.
