Foster families invited to getaway festival Sunday
It can be tough raising foster and adoptive kids, as any families in the practice know.
As a way to give back, Fostering Family Ministries and area churches are working together to provide a free afternoon of fun for foster and adoptive families of all ages Sunday, 4-8 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Church, 575 U.S. Route 250, Savannah.
The evening will include games, food and an interactive magic show. Cross Connect Church is assisting with food and bounce houses. Trinity Lutheran, Ashland Grace Brethren and Hopewell Church are volunteering staff to help at the festival.
As foster and adoptive families form a tremendous impact on the lives of children from hard places, the ministry seeks to provide a day of fun and relaxation to the families that work so hard.
