Associate Pastor of Next Generation Ministries at Grace Fellowship Church (Brunswick, Md.)

Grace Fellowship Church in Brunswick, Maryland is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Next Generation Ministries to lead and develop environments where students, young adults, and emerging leaders can grow into lifelong followers of Jesus. This role is central to our mission of helping people know the story of Jesus, live it in everyday life, and give it away to others. We are a healthy and growing church with strong momentum among the next generation, and we are looking for a relational, team-oriented pastor who is passionate about discipleship, leadership development, and building ministries that have lasting impact beyond programs. 

This position provides leadership across student ministry (Elevate), young adult ministry (Cultivate), and life groups, while also contributing to the broader pastoral leadership of the church. The Associate Pastor will help shape vision, build systems, and develop leaders to ensure sustainable, long-term discipleship across these ministries. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for student ministry, including weekly gatherings, outreach events, and retreats
  • Relationally invest in students and young adults while equipping and shepherding volunteer leaders
  • Develop and mentor student and young adult leaders
  • Lead and grow the young adult ministry through consistent gatherings and discipleship opportunities
  • Oversee life groups by recruiting, training, and supporting leaders, and helping develop curriculum in partnership with the Lead Pastor
  • Participate in pastoral leadership, including teaching opportunities, leadership meetings, and church-wide initiatives

Qualifications

  • A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to pastoral ministry
  • Theological alignment with the Charis Fellowship and agreement with Grace Fellowship’s mission and values
  • Appropriate theological training (degree or equivalent experience)
  • Licensed/ordained in the Charis Fellowship or willing to begin the credentialing process within 12 months
  • Experience in student ministry or church leadership, with the ability to recruit and lead volunteer teams
  • Ability to teach Scripture clearly and effectively, and to build meaningful relationships across generations

Compensation
Salary range for this position is $40,000–$55,000, along with benefits. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and ministry background.

Classification
This is a full-time exempt pastoral position. Non-remote.
