Bob Arenobine’s Mother With the Lord

Dorothy Arenobine, long-time member of the Valley Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD, and the mother of Fort Wayne Grace Brethren Church Pastor Bob Arenobine, went to be with the Lord Monday. Pastor Bob has been at the Fort Wayne church for 25 years, and he also serves as a board member and secretary of the Brethren Missionary Herald Co. APRIL 8, 1926-JULY 18, 2005

Dorothy Jane Arenobine, 79, formerly of Clinton Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, July 18, 2005, at Reeders Nursing Home in Boonsboro, MD.

Born April 8, 1926, in Wallington, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Henry Anthony and Elsie May Walters Vis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Joseph Arenobine, on Jan. 21, 1992.

She retired from Harper and Row Publishers in 1988.

She was a member of Valley Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown.

She had been a member of Halfway Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Robert D. Arenobine of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Thomas J. Arenobine of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren, Jodi Arenobine of Fort Wayne and Jill Jennings of Auburn, Ind.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry J. Vis and Edward Vis.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Valley Grace Brethren Church, Hagerstown. The Revs. Robert D. Arenobine and Daniel J. Pritchett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.
