Brookville Church Responds to Needs after Tornado

May 29, 2019

Rick Hartley, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Brookville, Ohio, has sent an update on tornado cleanup in his community. Brookville was one of the hardest hit when a series of tornados hit southwest Ohio on Monday evening.

We are doing pretty well here in Brookville, considering. Maybe 50 or so homes have been severely damaged. One of those homes belongs to a dear older lady in our church. I was in her house in the biggest hit neighborhood, and there was quite an effort with many Christians, churches, and the community coming together to help.

There is plenty of bottled water, food, and shelter for those who need help over the next few days. I think we will be able to get a better idea after that as to where the greater needs are.

Please, please PRAY for us as we love people in the name of Christ and for those many families who have lost their homes.

At First Grace Brethren Church, Dayton, Ohio, Bryson Jackson, youth and worship ministries pastor, sent along a couple of photos and reports:

We’ve been out in the community all day yesterday and today assisting in cleanup. Many church members were hit but everyone is okay.
