From Tony Webb’s newsletter (VisionOhio), comes church-planting news within the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. Here are a few excerpts:
I was blessed to be in Arizona, in the high desert of Globe with 23-28 church planters from around the country. This was a FGBC supported and designed event. The purpose was to bring together church planters and regional church plant leaders who are under 40 years old; to meet in a rustic place to spend time with God and each other.
We were led by Nathan Wells and Joe Caruso -who did a brilliant job putting all this together. The time was a great success. The time with God was amazing – which showed itself (I believe) in how well our time together went. The place was rustic. Our desire is to have this happen annually for a while to build a foundation across our fellowship of churches centered in regional church planting focus. See below a picture of some of the ones where were there. While there I was able to witness both snow and rain in Arizona!
Tony also notes that the Church-A-Day movement led by VisionOhio has moved to several other regions:
With great joy I am able to share with you that Vision Ohio is now connected with another region – Pacific Northwest! In January I was able to spend time with our brethren there and choose to move ahead together. The Pacific NW now joins Vision Indiana; The Steele Initiative in Western Pa; Vision DC; Vision Florida as places we are formally connected and working together seeking The Lord of the harvest for more workers; more disciples made and more new churches planted.
I am blessed by GBIF’s generosity in covering the financial cost of this travel. Blessings to our brethren there – thanks you!
Please pray for other one a day church planting movements to be formed in these regions. Also pray for 3 other regions that I am in conversation with – exploring if Jesus wants them to come on board as well – very exciting days!
