This position covers three key areas in addition to other camp tasks:
Discipleship Coordination
The primary expression of this position is to disciple young men and women within the intensity of summer camp followed by intentionally maintaining that relationship connection throughout the year.
Staff Coordination
Recruit, train, supervise and coordinate all seasonal staff and volunteers.
Assist with Program Coordination
Help the Program Coordinator prepare and coordinate the summer camp programs. Advocate for camp at churches and events.
Our ministry operates in extremes: summer is an intense 10-week season running 24/7 with constant activity and physical work, while winter brings intentional rest and long stretches of quieter, desk-based work. This contrast – three months of high energy, people focused ministry followed by nine months that can feel isolated – is appealing to some and challenging for others.
You and your wife will have the opportunity to dive into the relational aspect of year-round camping and practice hospitality by using your camp provided housing as a tool for evangelism and discipleship in the camp setting.
