
The Fellowship Council, the guiding board of the Charis Fellowship, is meeting this week in Seal Beach, Calif. Grace Community Church, Seal Beach (Bob Wriedt, senior pastor), is hosting the group.
First on the agenda Thursday morning was hearing reports from national ministry leaders. Making presentations were Jeff Gill, Grace College and Seminary; Mark Penfold, Eagle Commission; Don Shoemaker, Social Concerns Committee; Viki Rife, Women of Grace USA; Ken Seyfert, Grace Brethren Investment Foundation; Liz Cutler Gates, GraceConnect and BMH Books; Dave Guiles, Encompass World Partners; Mark Lingenfelter, Association of Grace Brethren Ministers; and Ed Lewis, CE National.
Also on the agenda are reports on the recent name change of the Fellowship, which was formerly the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, and applications from congregations that would like to join the Fellowship. They are also looking at church planting efforts in the Fellowship and developing position statements on a variety of topics.
The meeting continues through Friday afternoon at the Seal Beach church.
