Finding God at Camp!

Jun 18, 2007

A counselor prays with a camper at the Northeast Ohio District Camp as the sun sets over Lake Erie last week. By the time the campers left for home on Saturday morning, 49 first-time decisions to accept Christ had been made, according to Roland Maust, speaker for the week and pastor of the Grace Brethren Church at Millersburg, Ohio.

Decisions were made by young people from 13 Grace Brethren churches and one not affiliated with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. Pray for those churches as they follow up with the boys and girls who made a decision to follow Christ. Some are returning to non-Christian families.
During the week, 237 young people and 80 staff participated in the camp, which was held at Beuhlah Beach, near Vermillion, Ohio. The students, all in grades 3, 4, or 5, are from churches in five different Grace Brethren Districts – North East, North Central, and North West Ohio; Indiana; and Heartland.
Below, Angie Hale, camp coordinator, distributes Bibles to new believers on the last night of camp. The counselors who led them to the Lord stand behind and beside them.
