One way we seek to fulfill our mission of training leaders is by providing opportunities for connection and instruction throughout the year. Focus Retreats are designed for leaders to enjoy times of fellowship, engage in meaningful discussions on ministry-related topics, pray for one another, and collaborate on new initiatives. The goal is for participants to leave feeling refreshed, encouraged, and inspired to continue in Great Commission work.
Focus Retreats are held in five regions across the country: Central, East, Southwest, South, and Northwest. These gatherings typically follow a three-day format, with accommodations and meals included, and are focused on a central theme.
This Year’s Retreats
At Focus Retreats this year, we’re going to dive deeper into the commandment to “go and make disciples.” As we study the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20, we’ll look at the themes of authority, multiplication, identity, and obedience. We’ll also hear testimonies from several leaders about how they’ve experienced Jesus’ presence.
Charis Fellowship Conference set the stage for what it means to be a disciple who makes disciples. At our Focus Retreats, we’ll continue to look at discipleship and the commandment from Jesus to be disciple-makers. Whether or not you attended conference, these retreats will help you deepen your understanding of the Great Commission and engage with the mission.
