Dr. and Mrs. Walter M. ‘Skip’ Forbes recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married June 28, 1963, at Park Avenue Baptist Church, Binghamton, N.Y.
Following graduation from Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania, the couple moved to Winona Lake in 1969 where Skip completed his education at Grace Theological Seminary and then taught at Grace until his retirement in 2008. Carol retired from Grace in 2008 as well, after 10 years of service at the Reneker Museum of Winona History and as part of the administrative support staff. She had previous years of employment at Ivy Tech in Warsaw and the Herald Bookstore in Winona Lake.
