Word has been received that Donald H. Cake, 87,of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hershey, died Thursday, December 9, 2010, in the Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehabilation Center in Columbia.
He was born July 31, 1923, in Hershey, a son of the late Wilson and Stella (Seitzinger) Cake.
Mr. Cake was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey where he had done the church’s printing for a number of years. He retired as a printer from the Brethren Missionary Herald Co. in Winona Lake, IN.
Surviving are: a daughter, Carol Winter and husband David of Brookfield, WI; 2 sons, John Cake and wife Roseanna of Elyria, OH and David Cake of Elizabethtown with whom he had lived; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Seltzer) Cake; brothers Leo & Randall; and sisters Fern Bohner and Joyce Fox.
Services were held Monday, December 13. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association ., 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
