Barb Wooler, director of crisis response for Encompass World Partners, has announced a special Gift Card Shower for members of the Charis Fellowship church who lost homes in the recent Camp Fire in Paradise, Calif. Below is information and a video that may be shared publicly.
NEED = Wildfires/Chico
You have no doubt heard about last month’s deadly wildfires in California. Sadly, 11 families in our Charis church in Chico lost their homes. And on a community scale, Chris Raley (the Chico church’s DOO) said that the community of Paradise, whose city has been reduced to ashes, is now cramming into Chico. The two communities are now one large community.
HELP = Christmas Gift Card Shower
We are suggesting a Gift Card Shower, the fruit of which will be:
· Help for these 11 families who lost their homes
· Real help in the hands of the Chico church as they reach out to care for their burgeoning community
· the Chico Church will know that the Charis Fellowship is standing with them
My prayer goal is that the Chico church will receive at least 100 gift cards in the next few weeks – a goal that will be surpassed easily if each network represented in this email’s recipient list can mobilize at least 10 folks to send a gift card.
