Goshen church will provide community a place to play

Pastors Jim Brown and Jon Rauch stand inside what will be the new children’s playground at Grace Community Church, Goshen, Ind. “The Park” will be free and open to the public when it opens in March.

Parents and kids will soon have a new place to escape cabin fever.

Grace Community Church in Goshen is building a new indoor playground called “The Park,” which will be free and open to the public. The facility is expected to open in March.

“It’s going to be a place here people everywhere can come and hang out,” Lead Pastor Jim Brown said, “especially on cold or rainy days.”

When the space is finished, the playground will have a variety of equipment to play on, including climbing walls and slides. There will also be a designated area for children with special needs.

“Parents can either drop their kids off or stay and use the treadmills upstairs that overlook the play area,” Brown said.

While the park is open, the facility will be staffed by volunteers.
